Construction of EcoDom dome house.

EcoDomcompany carries constant creative search of clean and reliable materials for the construction of its dome and other houses. In the case of dome houses we stayed at such an original composition:

• Symmetrical bend-glued wooden supporting structure;
• Environmentally friendly insulation "hemp technical";
• Inner sheathing of a dome with natural wood;
• External roof of natural slate.

 The supporting structure.

The supporting structure is a 16 high, dry, bent-laminate wooden beams with the section of 120x300 mm. These beams are rational choice as the supporting element and the decorative key element of the internal space of the dome.

To redistribute the deformation and perform the structural layout of the second floor there are 4 vertical wooden curved beams with the section of 200x300 mm in the center of the house.

The absence of perpendicular angles eliminates the critical stress points and distributes the load evenly over the entire structure. Dome house is a sample of effective unit load per kilogram of construction.

 Inner sheathing.

Environmentally friendly, natural board "imitation of timber" of 30 cm. In combination with radial beams supporting the structure looks modern to many people’s surprise.

Hemp itself just simply absorbs excess moisture retaining dryness.

It is not afraid of water, does not age, and does not rot. Hemp contains no sugar (rich in timber) or other substances attractive to pests, it is not vulnerable to mold or fungus, insects or pests (even in the old times hemp was planted in the gardens to get rid of all types of pests).

Slate withstand instant heating and rapid cooling, indifferent to prolonged exposure to ultraviolet radiation, shows absolute resistance to acids and other aggressive chemicals.

As wall partitions, we use the classic frame walls and walls made of natural coquina, which complements the atmosphere of your housewith useful marine components. Coquina has a porous structure, so is an unsurpassed insulation of heat and noise in nature.
